I’ve almost never been so excited to listen to an album before. Currently listening to Barton Hollow by The Civil Wars, which officially comes out tomorrow. This is phenomenal.

Tonight is one of those nights where I could stay up and read The Bell Jar again, from cover to cover. That’s how I conquered it last time, on a whim. If I didn’t intend on waking up in the morning, I can assure you that is what would be happening now. That would probably be the seventh time I’ve read it or something.

And then I imagined swallowing each dime, one at a time, polished and metallic and thin and circular; the ridges on the edge and their aftertaste. The feeling as they plunged down into my stomach, the trouble I knew I was in. But I could not stop.

Emergency rooms = kinda scary. Cab drivers at 3am = idiots. My fever is down now, but I still feel like crap. My chest hurts terribly but all I want to do is go take pictures instead of being in bed for the third full day in a row. Wahh. Is this real life?
